- On your own account (free, Plus or Pro — new subscription, renewal or upgrade): the ChatGPT Pro 200 top-up for ¥1,300 (≈ 193.75 USDT), usually done in 5–30 minutes; your chat history stays put.
- Prefer a separate account, ready to use: a ready-made Pro 200 account for ¥1,349 (≈ 201.05 USDT), already active; hand-delivered after you verify your delivery email (the order page shows 30 minutes to about 4 hours); you can bind your own email.
- Need Ultrafast or the highest cap: Pro 500 on your own account for ¥3,599 or ready-made for ¥3,699.
The 2026 line-up
If your mental model is still “free ChatGPT and a $20 Plus”, it is out of date. The consumer side now has six price points, and the part people miss is that Pro has three prices. Here they are as OpenAI lists them (tiers and prices as of 30 September 2026; the Free row reflects the GPT-6 rollout, checked 2026-10-10):

OpenAI's pricing page shows Pro as “From $100 / month” with “your choice of 3 usage tiers”. Business (per seat) and Enterprise exist for organisations and are not covered here, except for one point about training data below.
Go: what $8 buys, and what it leaves out
Go is the entry paid tier. According to the pricing page it adds, over Free, more messages with tools, more uploads, more image creation, more voice chats and longer memory — and the page says the plan may include ads. What it does not add matters more:
- No Sol and no GPT-6 Astra. Per OpenAI's 2026-10-07 announcement, Chat on Free and Go runs GPT-6 powered by GPT-6 Luna from 2026-10-08, while Plus and above get GPT-6 Sol; the Help Center model page still said on 2026-10-10 that Free and Go receive GPT-5.6 Luna. The rollout is gradual, so check your own model menu. Either way, Free and Go have none of the Medium, High, Extra High or Pro thinking levels (only Think), and Sol and Astra start at Plus.
- No Projects, scheduled tasks or custom GPTs. Those are listed under Plus.
- Deep Research and Codex stay at the limited level. “Expanded Deep Research” and “expanded Codex usage” are Plus features.
So Go's honest position is “I want more room to chat and don't want to hit the free limits”. The moment your needs include “research this and write me a report” or “go and finish this task”, Go is out and Plus is the floor.
Plus: the right answer for most people
At $20, Plus is the first tier with the full feature set: GPT-6 in Chat powered by GPT-6 Sol with Medium and High thinking (since 2026-10-07; Extra High and Pro need a Pro tier), ChatGPT Work and expanded Codex usage with GPT-6 Astra available in both, expanded Deep Research, Projects, scheduled tasks and custom GPTs — with no ads. Our advice for individuals is to start on Plus rather than buy Go and then agonise over upgrading. The $12 between them is not “more messages”; it is a different product.
The three Pro tiers: same features, different allowance and speed
This is where 2026 buyers most often get it wrong. Many assume the bigger price unlocks something exclusive. Apart from Ultrafast it does not: OpenAI says Pro 200 includes more usage than Pro 100 and Pro 500 the most, and only Pro 500 includes Ultrafast. It no longer publishes multiples, so the allowance row below mixes OpenAI's last figure and press reports:

How to choose: if most of your day is code and Codex, Pro 100 is usually enough. If your work is long agent runs, daily Deep Research or GPT-6 Pro as your default model and you empty Pro 100's weekly limits, Pro 200 is the tier that stops interrupting you. Pro 500 is for speed (Ultrafast) and the highest cap; on the reported multiples it is not cheaper per unit than Pro 200. Do not buy a higher tier because it sounds more professional — the extra money buys allowance and, on Pro 500, speed. The detailed comparison is in Pro 100 vs 200 vs 500.
When to upgrade: one usable rule
Feature tables make everyone want to upgrade. The only rule that works is: count how often a limit interrupts you in a month.
- 0–1 times a month: stay where you are.
- 2–4 times a month: optimise first — send routine work to a lighter model, split very long contexts. If it is Codex that runs out, Codex credits usually beat an upgrade.
- Every week, after optimising: Pro 100.
- Pro 100's weekly limits gone by midweek, every week: Pro 200 is a real need, not a wish — keeping in mind that new subscriptions get less than before the pause.
- You need Ultrafast, or several agents running for hours: Pro 500.
The same logic applies to every usage-tiered subscription, including Claude's: you are never buying features, you are buying uninterrupted time.
An easily missed difference: training on your data
OpenAI's Business plan states “no training on your business data by default”. Consumer tiers — Free, Go, Plus, Pro — are governed by the Data Controls setting in your account, which you should check before using a personal account for company code or client material. For sensitive work, that setting matters more than the difference in subscription price.

Which tiers you can actually buy today
All of them. Free, Go, Plus, Pro 100, Pro 200 and Pro 500 are on sale at OpenAI. From 2026-09-10 to 2026-09-30 OpenAI paused new sign-ups and upgrades to the $200 tier; it reopened on 2026-09-30 as Pro 200, with a lower allowance for new subscriptions, while subscriptions that were active at OpenAI's cutoff keep the previous allowance through 2026-10-29 as long as they stay active.

Three things to check before you order
- Prices and allowances move. OpenAI changed both several times in 2026, most recently on 30 September; treat the linked official pages as current, and our pricing page as the price you will actually pay.
- Account state decides whether a top-up is possible. A Plus top-up needs a Free account (or an expired Plus); the Pro 100, Pro 200 and Pro 500 top-ups work on Free, Plus and Pro accounts, for new subscriptions, renewals and upgrades. Ready-made accounts sidestep this.
- One person, one account. Sharing an account across people or locations is what triggers OpenAI's risk controls, and banned accounts are not refunded. Bind your own email to a ready-made account once it arrives.
