Both entry plans are feature-complete. The difference is allowance, plus two things only the higher plans have: GPT-6 Pro in chat, and Max's built-in Fable allowance.
The real benefit of the pair: two allowances as backup
ChatGPT and Claude count limits separately. If Claude Code hits its five-hour limit mid-task, carry on in Codex; if your Codex allowance runs dry, switch back to Claude. For people who only hit limits occasionally but can't afford to stall when they do, that is steadier than putting everything on one vendor's $100 plan — at roughly half the price. The two vendors' models also have different strengths, so asking both is an easy cross-check.

The simplest way to judge: count for a week. Three or more cut-offs a week means the entry plan really is too small; once or twice, the pair or occasional add-ons are enough.

- ChatGPT Plus / Pro 100 on your own account: Plus needs a Free account (or an expired Plus); Pro 100 works on Free, Plus and Pro accounts, for new subscriptions, renewals and upgrades. You submit the sign-in data the order page asks for, it is checked before you pay, and delivery usually takes 5–30 minutes.
- Claude Pro / Max on your own account: paste a claude.ai cookie export (Cookie-Editor JSON) on the order page; it is checked before you pay and cleared after delivery, usually within 5–30 minutes, and the account stays yours. For Max the account must sign in normally and not be banned; a Free account never paid by card can't buy Max, and brand-new accounts wait 3–15 days before Max 20x.
- Ready-made accounts: if you have no account or yours doesn't qualify. After paying you enter and verify a delivery email; ready-made ChatGPT and Claude Max accounts are hand-delivered (the order page shows 30 minutes to about 4 hours), and for a ready-made Claude Pro you submit its Organization ID on the order page once it arrives.
