How to get ChatGPT Pro 20x right now (status refreshes hourly from our order system):

The 10-minute checklist
- Change the password. The login mailbox is assigned by ClaudeMax — that is the one real trade-off of a ready-made account. The password is the part that becomes yours alone, so change it before anything else.
- Confirm the plan. Settings → My Plan should show ChatGPT Pro, and GPT-6 Pro should appear in the model menu. If you want to see the allowance numbers you're entitled to — 200 GPT-6 Pro messages a week, a separate 170 Sol Pro a day, Codex Astra 100–900 per 5 hours — they are in What Pro 20x actually gives you.
- Decide on training. Settings → Data Controls → “Improve the model for everyone” is on by default on consumer plans. Turn it off if you'll paste client material, company code or anything you wouldn't want used to train models. Turning it off does not delete past conversations.
- Decide on Memory. Settings → Personalization → Memory has two layers: saved memories and reference to chat history. Keep them on for a personal assistant; turn them off if the account will serve unrelated projects or sensitive work.
- Use it as one person, from your usual devices. Signing in from several countries at once is what trips OpenAI's risk controls, and OpenAI's terms prohibit making an account available to others. Accounts banned for policy violations are not refunded.
- Leave billing alone on openai.com. Don't add a card, don't cancel, don't downgrade. The subscription is managed from your ClaudeMax order page. Cancelling or downgrading on OpenAI's side ends Pro $200 at the end of the cycle, and under the current pause only people who qualify for OpenAI's one-time return can bring it back.
- Note the expiry date. Each order is a 30-day period. Reminders arrive 7, 3 and 1 day before expiry; renewing from the order page keeps the same account and allowance.

Three things that look like problems and aren't
- “You've reached your limit for GPT-6 Pro.” Pro 20x has allowances, not unlimited use. OpenAI states that reaching a model's allowance does not restrict the account; ChatGPT shows the reset time and, on Pro $200, continues with GPT-5.6 Thinking. Support cannot reset limits — nobody can.
- The login email isn't mine. Correct, and by design: the subscription has to already exist on an account for a ready-made account to exist during the pause. Your history in your old account stays there; OpenAI doesn't transfer subscriptions between accounts.
- I want my own data out of it later. Data Controls includes an export function; use it before the period ends if you decide not to renew.
