- Max 5x on your own account (includes $100/month API credits): ¥999 ≈ 148.89 USDT; cookie checked before you pay, usually 5–30 minutes
- Max 20x on your own account (includes $200/month API credits): ¥1,799 ≈ 268.11 USDT; brand-new accounts wait 3–15 days
- Ready-made Max: both 5x and 20x are sold out right now — for the API credits, use the top-up
What Anthropic announced
On 8 October 2026 Anthropic's developer account ClaudeDevs posted that monthly API credits are now available on Max and Team plans, usable on any Claude model; the Claude Platform docs and Help Center spell out the rules. The credits land in a Claude Console organization's balance — a separate account from your claude.ai plan allowance.
| Plan | Monthly API credits |
|---|---|
| Free / Pro / Enterprise | None |
| Max 5x ($100/month at Anthropic) | $100 |
| Max 20x ($200/month at Anthropic) | $200 |
| Team | $20 per Standard seat, $100 per Premium seat, pooled, capped at $500 |
At Anthropic's own prices the credits equal the subscription fee: $100 for Max 5x with $100 of credits, $200 for Max 20x with $200. That only helps if you spend them.
Who is eligible, and how to claim
- Plan: Max 5x, Max 20x or Team, active and in good standing. Free, Pro and Enterprise aren't eligible.
- Timing: new subscribers can claim after 7 days on an eligible plan; the rollout runs over several days.
- Roles: on Max you must be the subscriber; in the Console organization that receives the credits you need Owner, Admin, Billing. No organization yet? Create one during the claim.
- Where: on claude.ai in a web browser, even if you subscribed in the iOS or Android app: Settings → Billing → API credits → Link organization, then accept the Supplemental Credit Terms. The Help Center suggests signing in to the Console with the same email you use on claude.ai.
- One link, effectively permanent: each plan links to one Console organization and each organization takes credits from one plan. You can't change it yourself — only support can — so link the organization you will actually build in.
- No card needed: you don't have to add a payment method on Claude Platform to claim or use the credits.
What the credits cover — and what they don't
| Product | Paid by the API credits? |
|---|---|
| Claude API (Messages API, Message Batches API) | Yes, any Claude model |
| Claude Managed Agents | Yes |
Claude Agent SDK, and claude -p run yourself with an API key | Yes, with a key from the linked organization |
| Console Playground | Yes |
| Interactive Claude Code (terminal, IDE, desktop, web) | No |
| Extra usage in Claude, Claude Code or Cowork after plan limits | No |
| Claude on AWS, Amazon Bedrock, Google Cloud Vertex AI, Microsoft Foundry | No |
The trap: runs started by the Claude Code GitHub Action, an IDE extension or the desktop app count as Claude Code usage even with -p, so the credits don't pay for them. If an organization holds only these credits and you point Claude Code at it, you get a "Credit balance too low" message.
How the credits are applied, and when they expire
- Arrival: each billing cycle, shortly after your plan payment is processed; the Console shows them under Settings → Billing → Promotional credits with the amount and expiry date.
- Expiry: unused credits expire at the end of the cycle. No rollover.
- Order: included credits are spent first, then anything you bought. Auto-reload looks only at your purchased balance.
- Sharing: every API key and workspace in the linked organization draws from one balance; cap a project by giving it its own workspace with a spend limit.
- Running out: with no other credits, API requests stop until the next month's credits arrive. Nothing is ever charged to your Claude plan.
- Rate-limit tier: linked organizations move up to at least the Start tier (Build only when monthly credits exceed $200, which neither Max tier does); the credits don't count toward higher tiers.
- Plan limits unchanged: your five-hour and weekly limits in Claude and Claude Code stay the same.
- Upgrading: Max 5x → Max 20x gives you prorated credits right away, then $200 each cycle.
What $100 and $200 buy (illustrative arithmetic)
At Anthropic's list API prices, assuming every call sends 2,000 input tokens and gets 1,000 output tokens, with no prompt caching. Your real bill depends on prompt length, output length, thinking and caching; treat this as a sense of scale, not a quote.
| Model (per million tokens in / out) | Cost per call | Calls for $100 | Calls for $200 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Opus 5.5 ($4 / $20) | $0.028 | ≈ 3,571 (≈ 119 a day) | ≈ 7,142 |
| Opus 5.5 on the Batch API ($4 / $20, then 50% off) | $0.014 | ≈ 7,142 (≈ 238 a day) | ≈ 14,285 |
| Sonnet 5.5 ($2 / $10) | $0.014 | ≈ 7,142 (≈ 238 a day) | ≈ 14,285 |
| Sonnet 5.5 on the Batch API ($2 / $10, then 50% off) | $0.007 | ≈ 14,285 (≈ 476 a day) | ≈ 28,571 |
| Haiku 5.5 (prompts up to 100k tokens) ($0.10 / $0.50) | $0.0007 | ≈ 142,857 (≈ 4,761 a day) | ≈ 285,714 |
Put differently, $100 on Opus 5.5 is 25 million input tokens or 5 million output tokens. Anthropic's own advice for stretching the credits: pick the right model per task, use prompt caching for repeated context, and send non-urgent work through the Batch API (50% cheaper).
The effective price — only if you'd really use the API
If you would otherwise buy $100 of API credits every month, the credits that come with Max replace that spend. Taking 1 USDT ≈ 1 USD:
| Product | Our price | Credits included | Effective price of the plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| Claude Pro on your account (no credits) | 37.11 USDT | — | 37.11 USDT |
| Claude Max 5x on your account | 148.89 USDT | $100 | 48.89 USDT |
| Claude Max 20x on your account | 268.11 USDT | $200 | 68.11 USDT |
To be plain about list prices: our Max 5x top-up (148.89 USDT) is 48.89 USDT above Anthropic's $100, and Max 20x (268.11 USDT) is 68.11 USDT above $200, taking 1 USDT ≈ 1 USD. Where we are above, the difference pays for the route: no card Anthropic has to accept, payment in USDT, a check of your account before you pay, and the plan on your own account. And if you never call the API, the credits simply expire each month and the effective price is just the price. Don't let the number talk you into it.
Pro or Max 5x, now that Max includes API credits
Our Max 5x costs 111.78 USDT more than Pro. Its $100 of credits covers about 89% of that gap; the remaining 11.78 USDT buys 5× Pro's per-session allowance plus the Fable weekly allowance that only Max has.
| Your situation | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| Chat and writing in the apps, never touching the API | Stay on Pro; the credits are worth nothing to you |
| Mostly Claude Code, no direct API use | Choose Pro or Max by how often Claude Code hits limits; the credits are not a reason |
| On Pro and paying for the API yourself every month for scripts, side projects or agents | Move to Max 5x: the credits absorb much of the API bill and you get 5× the plan allowance |
| API spend between $100 and $200 a month, and Claude Code often hits limits | Max 20x: $100 more credits and 4× Max 5x's per-session allowance |
| Production traffic for a product or company | Pay in the Console normally; the included credits suit development and small runs, and requests stop when they run out |
Getting Max on your own account here — you are the subscriber
The claim has one hard rule: on Max you must be the subscriber. Our Max 5x / 20x top-up adds the official plan to your own Claude account — your email, your password, your history — so the claim flow under Settings → Billing is the one Anthropic describes. To be clear, though: the rollout is staged and the 7-day and good-standing conditions are Anthropic's call, so we can't promise you will see or receive the credits. Anthropic's 7-day rule is written for new subscribers; if you are already on Max and renew through us, go by what your Settings → Billing page shows.
Top-up conditions printed on the product cards:
- the account must sign in normally and not be banned;
- a free account that has never paid for a plan by card can't take Max;
- an account whose iOS or Android in-app subscription is still active can't be topped up;
- card-paid Pro or Max accounts, active or lapsed, can renew or upgrade (moving from Max 5x to 20x, Anthropic adds prorated credits);
- Max 20x: brand-new accounts can't be topped up — wait 3–15 days after registering.
Delivery: paste your claude.ai cookie (exported with Cookie-Editor) on the order page. It is checked before you pay, used once and deleted after delivery, and the plan is usually on your account within 5–30 minutes. We never ask for your password.
Ready-made accounts: ready-made Max 5x and Max 20x are both sold out right now. If you came for the API credits, take the top-up. When ready-made stock returns, keep in mind that a ready-made account is one we hand over with the plan already active, while Anthropic requires the claimant to be the subscriber; whether a ready-made buyer can claim the API credits is not something we can promise. For the credits, use the top-up.
Regions: check Anthropic's supported list first
Anthropic's supported-regions policy covers the apps, Claude Code, and the API and developer platform alike. The credits are only useful through the Claude Console and API, so before paying for Max for the credits, read Anthropic's list of supported countries and regions and use the service under Anthropic's terms. We handle payment and provisioning, not the question of whether use from your location is permitted.
Who should not buy Max for the credits
- Claude Code-only users: the credits don't cover interactive Claude Code or overflow usage. Buy Max if Claude Code keeps hitting limits, not for the credits.
- Pro users who never call the API: the credits expire monthly and are worth nothing to you; if Pro is enough, stay on Pro.
- One-month buyers: a new subscription waits 7 days to claim, and the credits expire at the end of the cycle, so the usable window shrinks.
- Teams that need dependable production capacity: requests stop when the credits run out.
Refunds: pro-rated refund for unused days if a regional policy change by Anthropic makes the service unavailable; none for accounts banned for violating Anthropic's usage policies. The API credits are granted by Anthropic, so not receiving them isn't something we can compensate. Contact the bottom-right live chat promptly if anything goes wrong, or Telegram @ccnb1937. ClaudeMax is not Anthropic or an authorized reseller.
In one sentence
If you call the API, Max now carries $100 or $200 a month of real value — put Max 5x on your own account or Max 20x and claim after 7 days; if you don't, choose your tier by how often Claude Code hits its limits.
