Claude Max 6.25x vs a regular Claude account (October 2026): what a Team Premium seat gives you over Pro, Max 5x, Max 20x and a top-up on your own account

First, what "Claude Max 6.25x" actually is

The name is ours. What you receive is a claude.ai account on Anthropic's Team plan, holding one Premium seat. Team is the plan Anthropic sells to organisations of 2 to 150 people; a Premium seat is its high-usage seat, listed at $125 a month ($100 on annual billing). On the pricing page Anthropic describes it as "5x more usage than standard seats", and a standard seat as "more usage than Pro". Its Team plan help article, read on 2026-10-24, is more specific: standard seats include 1.25× and Premium seats 6.25× Pro's per-session allowance, each with a weekly limit across all models. That is the number in our product name. Anthropic doesn't publish the size of weekly limits for any plan, so the real figures for your account are in Settings → Usage.

A "regular account" here means an individual claude.ai account on Pro, Max 5x or Max 20x, whether it's your own account topped up or an individual ready-made one. Here is how the two compare, from Anthropic's own pages:

Five ways it beats a regular individual account

1. More usage than Max 5x. 6.25× Pro per session against 5×, a quarter more than Max 5x. Usage on a Team plan is counted per member: your seat's allowance is yours alone, and nobody else in the workspace draws from it. Claude Code, the web app, desktop and mobile share that one allowance, as on any plan.
2. No model training on your content by default. Individual plans, including Max 20x, are opt-out: unless you switch it off, your chats may be used to improve models. On Team, Anthropic's default is no training. For client work, contracts, code from your employer or anything confidential, that default matters more than a few extra messages.
3. A commercial plan with Team features. Besides everything a Max account has (Claude Code, Cowork, Claude Design, Slides and Docs, connectors, Research, priority access when traffic is high), the Team card adds Claude Motion (beta). Fable 5 / 5.1 is part of a Premium seat just as on Max, up to 50% of the weekly limits; on Pro it only runs on pay-as-you-go usage credits.
4. No card and no eligible account needed. Our Max top-ups only work on accounts that meet Anthropic-side conditions (below). Anthropic itself sells Team only to organisations of at least 2 members paying by card. Here you need a delivery email and nothing else.
5. Ready the same day. Pay, enter a delivery email, click Cloudflare's verification email, and our team sends the account by hand, usually in 30 minutes to about 4 hours. Per the product description you can bind your own email; change the password on first sign-in. Compare that with waiting 3–15 days before a new account can take Max 20x.

The account conditions it gets you around

These are the conditions on our Claude top-up products, which add a plan to your own claude.ai account (you paste its cookie, it's checked before you pay):

• The account must sign in normally and not be banned.
• A Free account that has never paid with a bank card can't take a Max top-up; the Pro top-up needs an account on Free.
• An account with an unexpired iOS or Android in-app subscription can't be topped up until it lapses.
• Max 20x can't go on a newly registered account: wait 3–15 days.
• Card-paid Pro or Max, active or expired, can be renewed or upgraded.

If your account passes, a top-up is usually the better deal, as the table below shows. If it doesn't, or you don't want to submit your account's cookie, the 6.25x account is the way to get more than Max 5x today.

The honest trade-offs

• It's a new account. Your old chats, Projects and memory don't move. Keep the old account for reference.
• It's less than Max 20x. 6.25× against 20× per session. If you run Claude Code for hours every day with parallel sessions, look at Max 20x.
• Fable is capped at 50% of the weekly limits, exactly as on Max, and it uses the allowance faster than other models.
• No individual monthly API credits. Max 5x and 20x include $100 / $200 a month of Claude API credits for the subscriber; Team's credits are pooled at organisation level and are not part of this product.
• The workspace is handled by us. Subscription and billing are ours to manage. Don't change seats or billing in Organization settings yourself; contact us first.
• One account, one person. Anthropic assigns each Team seat to one named individual and only that person may use it. Don't share it.
• Renewal is at its own price. There is no lower-priced same-tier top-up for it, unlike our individual Max ready-made accounts.

Every Claude product we sell, priced

Live prices, refreshed hourly. "Per unit" divides the price by the per-session allowance in multiples of Pro, using Anthropic's published multiples; weekly limits are not published and aren't included.

Read it this way: today the 6.25x account costs more per unit of Pro allowance than a Max 5x top-up on your own account (¥221 vs ¥200), and a Max 20x top-up remains the most allowance per yuan we sell (¥100 per unit). That gap is the price of not needing an eligible account, a card or a wait. Ready-made individual Max 5x and Max 20x are both out of stock at the moment, so without an account of your own that qualifies, 6.25x is the ready-made way to get more than Pro's allowance. Anthropic's list price for a Premium seat is $125 a month (US price before tax, ≈ ¥838 at the 2026-10-14 reference rate), and our price is above that. What the difference pays for: Anthropic only sells Team to organisations of at least 2 members paying by card, while here you need neither the card nor the second member, and the account arrives the same day.

Which one should you choose?

Choose Claude Max 6.25x if:

• you have no Claude account, or yours can't take a Max top-up (never paid by card, an active iOS / Android subscription, or too new for Max 20x);
• Max 5x runs out on you but Max 20x is more than you need;
• you want the Team default of no model training on your content, without setting up a Team organisation of your own;
• you want a separate work account, kept apart from your other chats;
• you need it today and don't want to submit your own account's cookie.

Choose a Max 20x top-up (on your own account ¥1,999) if: your account qualifies, you hit limits most days or lean on Fable 5.1, and you want the most allowance per yuan.

Choose a Max 5x top-up (on your own account ¥999) if: your account qualifies, 5× Pro is enough, you want to keep your history, or you want Max's monthly API credits.

Ready-made individual Max 5x and Max 20x are out of stock right now, so if your account doesn't qualify for a top-up, the 6.25x account is the ready-made way to get more than Pro.
