A note on ChatGPT's allowance. New Pro 200 subscriptions start on the new, lower allowance (reported at about 10x Plus); grandfathered subscribers keep the old one only through October 29. OpenAI does not publish per-plan message counts; on Pro 200, reaching the GPT-6 Pro weekly limit switches Chat to GPT-5.6 Thinking (Medium). Google, for its part, describes Ultra's limits only relative to AI Pro, so neither side gives you a number to compare directly.

Where Google AI Ultra honestly wins
- Bundle value. 30 TB of storage, YouTube Premium individual and Google Home Premium Advanced are real money if you already pay for them separately. ChatGPT Pro 200 is AI only.
- Context. 1 million tokens on Gemini against 400K on ChatGPT Pro's reasoning models.
- Video and creative tools. Monthly Flow credits, video with Gemini Omni Flash, Lyria 3.5 music and Project Genie have no counterpart on ChatGPT's pricing page.
- A cheaper step into the top tier. Ultra 5x at $99.99 already includes 20 TB and YouTube Premium; ChatGPT's closest price point, Pro 100, has more usage than Plus but no bundle.
Where ChatGPT Pro 200 wins: Codex as a daily coding tool, GPT-6 Pro reasoning in Chat, dots available beyond the US, and no Google-account requirement. And one thing to check on Google's side: its FAQ says family members on Google AI Pro share the AI benefits; for Ultra it only lists storage sharing, so do not plan on splitting Ultra's AI allowance.
Can you have both for less?
If you code in Codex but want Google's storage and Gemini in Gmail and Docs, ChatGPT Pro 200 plus Google AI Pro ($19.99, 5 TB, YouTube Premium Lite) costs $180 a month less at list prices than Pro 200 plus Ultra 20x. At list prices Pro 200 is $0.01 more than Ultra 20x, so the decision is about tools, not money. Can you trust us? What is in writing
- Checked before you pay. A top-up checks your sign-in data first, and you pay nothing if it fails; the data is used once and cleared after delivery.
- Refund terms. If an OpenAI regional policy change makes the service unavailable, you get a refund for the unused days, processed within 1 business day and returned in USDT.
